    Problem

    In the crowded recreational shoe category, Keen was grasping for a clear, own-able position for a brand that spans everything from iconic water sandals to street shoes to serious hiking boots.

    Solution

    Between hard-core athletic and pure fashion, we found an opportunity as big as it is honest: pure joy. Our "Recess is Back" work celebrates outdoor play for the sheer fun of it. Recess is open to everyone, defined by anyone, only sky required.

    Results

    Through coordinated print, social media, a travelling road show, and a 31-recesses micro-site, we gained 24,000 new Facebook fans, a 365% increase in Twitter followers and the highest retail adoption rate ever. Even kudos, we might add, from our GetFitAmerica First Lady.
