NORTH wins contract with Cover Oregon
Helping Oregonians find affordable healthcare
NORTH, a branding agency based in Portland, Oregon, has been awarded the $9.9 million contract from Cover Oregon for a branding and communications campaign to educate and enroll Oregonians in affordable health care through Cover Oregon’s online marketplace. NORTH was chosen in part because of its track record on health and wellness issues in working with values-based brands, and the agency’s deep understanding of how Oregonians prioritize, manage and view their individual health.
Cover Oregon is the result of a HHS grant to Oregon to support building a health insurance marketplace, and The Lund Report said it “leads the nation.” Oregon’s Governor John Kitzhaber was present at President Obama’s State of the Union address in January in recognition of his role in moving affordable and universal health care forward in the state.
NORTH is partnering on the Cover Oregon contract with the public affairs agency Metropolitan Group, which has specialty practices in social change and public health.
NORTH Managing Partner, Rebecca Armstrong says: “”We are most excited at the prospect of supporting an innovative and progressive program to bring affordable healthcare to all Oregonians for the first time. To do this, we’ll tap into our expertise in wellness and values-based branding. There is a great need for information, and in order for Cover Oregon to succeed we need to make sure every Oregonian hears about the program and understands how it will help them.”
